BHL Auto Edit Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Better Human Labs LLC ("Better Human Labs," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with our internal publishing tool, BHL Auto Edit ("Auto Edit"). Use of the tool is also subject to the BHL Auto Edit Terms of Use.

This policy covers Auto Edit, not the company website at betterhumanlabs.co (the "Site") that hosts this page. The Site has a separate Website Privacy Policy. The Site does not receive or store Auto Edit's Google credentials, tokens, channel data, upload data, or private operation receipts.

Auto Edit and Google or YouTube data

Auto Edit is an internal Desktop and command-line tool owned by Better Human Labs LLC. Angelo Camba, a member and manager of Better Human Labs LLC, is its sole authorized operator and controls the one YouTube channel used for the Better Human Labs workflow. Auto Edit is not a public user account, hosted login, or multi-customer upload service.

Auto Edit uses YouTube API Services, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Its installed OAuth client requests only the sensitive https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl scope. Its current production mode prepares a reviewed packet for manual upload in YouTube Studio and does not make normal production YouTube API requests. If API publishing is enabled after required approval, Auto Edit will use that scope only as described below.

Data Auto Edit accesses and why

  • OAuth authorization and tokens: to maintain the operator's authorized connection without collecting or storing a Google or YouTube password.
  • Channel identity and capability: to confirm that each operation targets the single configured, operator-controlled YouTube channel and that custom thumbnails are enabled.
  • Playlist identity and items: to identify the configured series playlist, add the uploaded video, verify that insertion, and remove only receipt-owned playlist items during an authorized private test cleanup.
  • Video metadata and status: to upload an operator-reviewed video privately, apply its title, description, category, language, tags, audience and synthetic-media declarations, set its reviewed schedule and visibility, read it back for verification, and update only the complete operator-owned record after explicit confirmation.
  • Thumbnail data: to upload the operator-reviewed thumbnail for that video.
  • Private operation records: to bind a publishing or cleanup action to the exact local assets, authorized channel, playlist, uploaded video, and redacted result so Auto Edit cannot act on arbitrary content.

Auto Edit does not use YouTube Analytics, advertising data, comments, subscribers, Google Drive, contacts, a Google password, partner operations, or unrelated Google data. It does not scrape YouTube or download YouTube audiovisual content. It does not sell data or use Google user data for advertising, credit decisions, surveillance, or training generalized AI models.

How Auto Edit uses the data

Google and YouTube data is used only to provide and secure the operator-facing features described above. A publishing action must be started explicitly after the current video, thumbnail, metadata, visibility, playlist, and timing are reviewed. There is no unattended weekly upload trigger. Auto Edit never automatically deletes public content; its API cleanup path is restricted to an exact, receipt-owned private test artifact after separate authorization.

Storage, safeguards, and who can access it

The Desktop OAuth client, access and refresh tokens, non-secret channel configuration, and private operation receipts stay only on Better Human Labs' OptiPlex credential host in owner-only private files and directories. They are not stored on this Site, in a public source repository, or on media-rendering workers. API requests use encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to the local data is limited to the sole authorized operator.

Google and YouTube receive the authorization request and any channel, playlist, video, thumbnail, or metadata operation the operator directs to their services. We do not transfer Google user data to advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties. We may disclose information only where required by law or as necessary to investigate and address a security issue.

Google API Services User Data Policy and Limited Use

BHL Auto Edit's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Our use and transfer of data received from Google APIs is limited to providing or improving the visible operator-facing publishing features described in this policy and to the narrow security and legal exceptions allowed by that policy.

Retention, deletion, and revocation

  • OAuth access and refresh tokens are kept only while the operator's authorization remains active and the connection is needed for Auto Edit's disclosed features.
  • Stored YouTube API Data is refreshed or deleted no later than every 30 calendar days. Auto Edit rechecks the authorization and deletion state at least every 30 days while Authorized Data is retained. Private operation records containing YouTube API Data are deleted within that same period when they are no longer needed for bounded verification or cleanup.
  • If the operator disconnects Auto Edit through the client or requests deletion, we revoke the token promptly and delete the associated locally stored Authorized Data as soon as practicable and within seven calendar days.
  • The operator can also revoke Auto Edit through Google Account's third-party access settings. When Google-side revocation or an invalid, unrefreshable token is detected, we delete the associated stored YouTube API Data as soon as practicable and within 30 calendar days.
  • To request access to or deletion of locally stored Auto Edit data, email hello@betterhumanlabs.co. Because Auto Edit has one operator and no public account system, this is the public request route.

Deleting Auto Edit's local copy of data does not delete data held by YouTube. The operator can manage or delete YouTube-hosted videos and other channel data separately through YouTube and YouTube Studio. A local deletion request is not treated as authorization for Auto Edit to delete public or unrelated YouTube content.

Cookies

Auto Edit is a local tool and does not use this Site to set cookies or host its OAuth tokens. The Site's cookie practices are described in its Website Privacy Policy.

Other data retention

We keep messages you send us for as long as needed to respond and maintain our records, then delete them within a reasonable period. Auto Edit data follows the specific deadlines above.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. To make a request, email us at hello@betterhumanlabs.co. You may revoke Auto Edit's Google authorization at any time using the Google Account permissions link above.

Children's privacy

Auto Edit is not offered to children or the general public. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. We will not materially expand how Auto Edit uses Google user data without updating this disclosure and obtaining any consent required by applicable policy or law.
